The Montreal podcast that asks Vinny Terzo, Artist Manager at Horns & Hoofs Entertainment: How do you measure success? That question was asked by the mad man who built a truck for a demolition derby Sergio da Silva back in episode 278.

I met Vinny Terzo somewhere on a dank and sweaty dancefloor in the early 2000s back when I was still frequenting the Montreal rave scene. As we discuss in the show we’re talking real underground raves with hastily set up sound systems in condemned buildings. Not those fancy-pants raves at the Palais de Congrés. Where was I?

Back then he was known as “DJ Clown” or mononymously as just “Clown” and every year he threw one of the marquee events of on the Montreal rave calendar. The Re:Wire raves. I think I’m getting that punctuation right.

Anyways, like any reasonable person he retired from that scene and bought a house and started a family, but now that he’s a little older he’s gotten back into music and his love for psy-trance psy-tech has dragged him back to the turntables. Currently serving as the Artist Manager for Horns & Hoofs Entertainment (an offshoot of Boshke Beats Records) Vinny has started playing some festivals again.

Festivals like the Groove & Bass Renegade Festival/Fundraiser that is happening Canada Day Weekend in Bryson, Quebec. According to Wikipedia Bryson has a population of about 700 people.

Chris Venditto gets called off the bench to co-host this episode and wouldn’t you just know it: Vinny also loves golf. So there’s some golf talk in here too.

Enjoy the show!
