In this podcast episode, I I interview Don and Terri Larson about their journey from America to Mozambique and how Don Founded the Sunshine Nut Company and how their cashew factory has a unique business model of giving 90% of profits back to the community. They emphasize the integration of business and mission and the need for sustainable investment in communities. Don emphasizes that their business journey began as a response to God's call and emphasizes the importance of partnership, personal conviction, and dedication to one's calling. They also discuss their personal experiences of surrendering to the Lord and the importance of relationships in their journey.

Don also shares about his business venture in Mozambique, which involves vertically integrating from farm to finished product. They plan to start a new project in Nampula, which involves giving families their own plot of land and 500 cashew trees, increasing their income from $33 a year to $5,000. This economic transformation also allows for the introduction of transformation centers where they can teach finance courses, ethics, health practices, and micro finance. They discuss the guiding principles and objectives of Don's company, emphasizing transformation, community excellence, and unity. They also outline plans to address challenges such as exploitation, corruption, malnutrition, and inadequate healthcare, and the importance of supporting vulnerable groups such as widowed and orphaned women and children.
