Executive leader with more than 20 years of experience providing relevant insight to leaders around the world. She has delivered hundreds of inspiring and life-changing leadership trainings, keynotes and presentations to people around the world. Rocío helps leaders gain confidence, presence and step into their personal power, pave their own way, discover and eliminate their blind spots, spark self-awareness and maximize their overall impact. Rocío Pérez imagined herself from adversity to success. She believes that even during our darkest hours, when we have nothing concrete in life to help us move forward or even give us hope, we still have our imagination. The power of imagination can take us where we need to go, regardless of the state of our current circumstances. Rocío is the daughter of a Mexican immigrant who moved frequently from city to city in search of work. Rocío was told by all her elementary school teachers and some family “you will never make it,” the same message thousands of disadvantaged children who are poor, or minorities or immigrants hear daily. Rocío was on track to making her teachers’ and family members’ prediction true. She quit school midway through seventh grade and ran away from home multiple times, the first time at age 12. Rocío then got pregnant at 14 and subsequently divorced her parents, emancipating at age of 15, yet ending up with a similarly abusive man. At a devastating moment, having endured abuse, homelessness and hunger, Rocío swore to herself, “Never again.” Rocío consciously chose to break the cycle of poverty, abuse and limitation. Rocío made an ironclad commitment to herself and her son to live a better life and inspire others to do the same. Rocío put herself through college and even earned her dual MBA while working full time, building a home and raising her son. Rocío has been blessed with a lot of powerful lessons on her journey toward success. Rocío loves sharing her story as part of her commitment to helping others pave their own way, and step into their personal power to gain the life that may at times be challenging to even dream of. We all have an imagination, and learning from the examples Rocío shares, we can all be inspired to imagine a better future for ourselves and for the world. Today, Rocío is an executive leader with more than 20 years of experience providing relevant insight to private, public and nonprofit organizations. Her work inspires leadership to create authentic impact through fully engaging an organization’s internal and external stakeholders.
