Bob's 1st Bible Blurb: Eternal salvation is a Free Gift

I've decided to do some 'short' Bible Blurb Podcasts. These Bible Blurbs will be 5 to 10 minute long and will involve long ranging Bible topics.
This 1st Bible Blurb asks these questions:
IS the FREE GIFT of SALVATION really FREE (as the Bible teaches)...OR...is it only 'free' IF the born-again Believer 'maintains' it (as many Believers teach)?
Well, since we know that a Believer's eternal salvation (from hell) IS absolutely and totally 100% FREE...that means that NO ONE receives salvation for being good! Which also means that a Believer CANNOT 'lose' or 'forfeit' their eternal salvation for being 'bad'? Brethren, either eternal salvation IS either FREE (as the Bible clearly teaches (which means that God IS a liar), or it's NOT FREE (which some people teach!) Most Believers KNOW that God cannot lie...so it must be deceived people who are wrong when they believe that the FREE GIFT of eternal life comes thru faith in the Gospel of Christ PLUS "maintaining' a certain walk of holiness!!! (Which makes this gospel a works gospel!) Now, I do believe that the Bible teaches that a once professing, born-again Believer CAN choose to RENOUNCE their saving faith in Christ. In which case the Good Lord has NO obligation to save them from their sins.
And here's a little 'mystery tidbit' for my next Bible Blurb. I do believe that the Bible clearly teaches that an eternally saved, blood-bought, born-again child of God CAN forfeit or lose their 'ETERNAL LIFE'! However, that's NOT the same thing as losing or forfeiting one's eternal salvation (from hell!) AHH! The games afoot! Stay tuned for my podcast on Believers forfeiting their Eternal life!
