In a special extended Community Spotlight interview, Ray talks to actor, host, musician, chef, and content creator Jimmy Wong, known for Video Game High School and soon to be in the live action remake of Disney’s Mulan. Jimmy talks about going viral with the “Ching Chong in the Library Song” and discusses how he’s used his projects, like Feast of Fiction, to explore his culture in new ways and respond to the continuing aggression of racist ideas through music and humor. Josh sets things up by thinking through how the Internet has opened up a path for APIDA creators to reach more mainstream prominence in the first place after reflecting on the recent Kollaboration presented EMPOWERd conference last weekend.
