In February of 2005, at the age of nine-years old, Jessica Lunsford would be discovered to be missing from her family home, where she lived with her father and her paternal grandparents.
Investigators would search the sexual offender database and find one offender that they could not trace or track down. Ultimately, the failings of those systems, the failingsa of a criminal not following proper protocol (imagine that) and the decisions of an absolute monster led to Jessica's life being take way, way too soon.
