As we have seen in the plethora of murder cases that we have covered on this podcast killers, and even serial killers, come in all shapes and sizes. There is no defining characteristic that is seen across the board in the case of all, or even most, killers. One of the things that is certainly seen in more murderers than not though is a progression in crime and another maddening trait that we come across far too often is that career criminals still find ways to slip through the cracks. Unfortunately this is not just new in cases that we see and hear today. This week we are going to go back a little bit to the 1980s and 1990s and we are going to look at the life, crimes and death of a female serial killer who was active in California and making victims out of people who needed help when they came to her, not to be hurt.
