Welcome to the Good Life Property Management podcast! I’m your host, Steve Welty. This is a show for property management entrepreneurs who want to build not only great business, but also great lives. I’m here to help you gain the freedom to live life on your own terms while creating a positive impact in the world. Also, please check out Steve Welty's Music!

Can you believe it’s almost 2019 already?! It feels like 2018 has flown by, but it’s already time for a review and recap. My friend Jayson Yoss joins me today for this conversation in which we look back on 2018 and discuss what has worked for us (and what hasn’t).

Jayson is a leader in our local market here in San Diego, and his company GoldenWest Management works in a couple other markets as well. Even though we’re in the same market, we both have an abundance mindset and believe that sharing insights and tips will help both of us grow and have a bigger impact. I’m excited to have him on the show today!

In our conversation, we’ll dig into the role of creativity in our lives (and if you think you’re not a creative person, tune into this episode to learn why you’re wrong). We share our commitments to our hobbies, including music-writing and surfing. Jayson will also talk about self-growth, including his journey to learn to trust others in his work so that his company can succeed even when he isn’t actively at the helm.

This year, I took a deep dive with my team into the role of personality assessments. One of the most valuable was Unique Ability, which you’ll hear all about in this episode! We’ll also talk about the potential for disconnect between sales and operations, why I sometimes pay employees not to bring a new owner into the company, and more!
