On this episode of Gospel for the Culture, you’ll meet Chapter 3: The Preacher’s Kid, a personal essay of growing up in the very different worlds of my Baptist preacher Dad, my Pentecostal Mommy, and building my experience of God in between. It is a deeply vulnerable narrative about my master wound and all of its contradictions. But most importantly, it is a celebration of all that conspired to bring me to the point of my public work with Unfit Christian and leading others to an experience of God that sees (and loves) the whole of them fearlessly. It is my manifesto that there is room at the cross for all of us, no matter how radically different our approach to God may be.
