TEXT: Matthew 9:14-17 We all like the ideas that feasting connotes. We like to celebrate, eat, drink, and have a good time. When Jesus was with His disciples, that is what they experienced most of the time. In spite of the opposition that they received, there were no "down days" when one was with Jesus. Even those who met Jesus in passing went away with celebration. At one point, Jesus was on his way into a city as a funeral procession was on its way out of the city. A widow's son had died and they were on their way to bury him. Jesus stopped the procession and raised the widow's son from the dead. Without a doubt, those people who had awakened with a funeral on their agenda went home and feasted.
