In light of the recent declaration by the World Health Organization (WHO) of Mpox as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs has swiftly initiated enhanced precautionary measures and isolation protocols to safeguard the health and well-being of all Saint Lucians.
Mpox, a viral disease known for its rapid transmission and potential severity, poses a significant public health risk. In response, the Ministry is taking decisive action to prevent the spread of the virus within our communities. These measures are designed to ensure early detection, prompt medical intervention, and effective containment of suspected cases.
