The reign of Uzziah, king of Judah, was marked by historic blessing and success. He was ruled for more than five decades and the Lord prospered him in every way imaginable. Under Uzziah, Jerusalem and Judah flourished and were safe. However, his story ends tragically and his pride was the reason. All around us pride is promoted as acceptable. Wherever it is found, pride is an abomination to God. We do well to consider the life of Uzziah and learn this lesson, pride always destroys.
