Ever had an argument with someone? After cooler heads prevailed did you then take the first step toward them and ask for them forgiveness? If they accepted your apology, you were reconciled to them and vice versa. If they didn't accept your offer of forgiveness, you were not reconciled with them and your relationship was shaky. In the same way, God has taken the first step and has forgiven the whole world of their sins. Have you been reconciled to Him? Who is God? He is the One who has taken away your sins, one time, at the cross.
