## News

We unlocked Daisy the sloth pet through the Doctors Without Borders charity drive. She’s so cute. Watching her slowly crawl after you is so sweet and ridiculous. Also if you are curious or haven’t figured it out yet, use /beckon to get her to hitch a ride on your back.

My GM used the Magic Pet Mirror which you can purchase at either the Legion or Northrend Dalaran Pet Shop or the pet vendor in your WoD garrison, which made him look like Daisy. Then he used /beckon so he was a sloth with a sloth on his back crawling around.

## Question of the Episode

We didn’t do a question last episode. But this episode is the last starter zone of Eastern Kingdoms (Vanilla). So we can go one of two ways: either continue with Eastern Kingdoms (by zone level) or go to Kalimdor and do the starting zones there. Let us know what you think on Twitter; there will be a poll. ### Lore Bite:

Cataclysm changed this area quite a bit. Among other changes, the Stonewrought Dam was destroyed, resulting in a 90% loss of the Loch.

For Mud this is the only reason to go back to Classic. This dam was iconic.

# This fortnight in WoW ## Calendar ### Northrend Timewalking Dungeon Event 2021/04/27 - 2021/05/04

As with all Timewalking Bonus events there is a chance that you can get the Reins of the Infinite Timereaver from any boss during any timewalking dungeon. It is also a good time to get gear for an undergeared character in the timewalking dungeons.

With Timewarped Badges that drop from each boss you can buy:

#### Gear This will get you the cosmetic appearance for the gear as well as work for just under Heroic level items to fill in gaps. This can be bought from Auzin in Northrend Dalaran

### Darkmoon Faire 2021/05/02 - 2021/05/08 Recurring Skipping again, Do your pet battles and games to get tokens in order to buy some of the more costly prizes. But this episode we are focusing on Children’s Week. I promise we will start featuring Darkmoon achievements and collectables soon ™.

### Children’s Week 2021/05/03 - 2021/05/10 Holidays We adopt orphans during Children’s Week and take them on adventures.

#### Toys - Green Balloon: The toy Green Balloon can only be purchased and used during Children’s Week. They can be bought by Blax Bottle Rocket in Orgrimmar and Craggle Wobbletop in Stormwind.

#### Pets - Stormwind / Orgrimmar: - Whiskers the Rat (Rat Cage) - Speedy the Turtle (Turtle Box) - Scooter the Snail (Snail Shell) - Mr. Wiggles (Piglet’s Collar) - Shattrath (Outland) - Eggbert (Egbert’s Egg) - weird bird - Peanut (Elekk Training Collar) - Willy (Sleepy Willy) - Beholder - Legs (Legs) - Marsh Walker - Northrend Dalaran - Curious Oracle Hatchling - Curious Wolvar Pup - Battle for Azeroth - Mr. Crabs (Sandy Hermit Crab Shell) - Beakbert (Beakbert) - Froglet (slimy Pouch) - Scaley (Enchanted Saurolisk Scale)

#### Quests The Horde starts their adoption in Orgrimmar by talking to Orphan Matron Battlewail. She will give you an Orcish Orphan Whistle to bring out your orphan during your Children’s week quests. Once you complete the questline you can choose from one of the first four pets.

Similarly the Alliance starts off in Stormwind by talking to Orphan Matron Nighingale. You’ll get a Human Orphan Whistle to summon your orphan.

Next move on to Shatrath. Both the Alliance and Horde get their next orphans from Orphan Matron Mercy. Horde get a blood elf child while Alliance get a Draenai. There’s another set of quest which results in you being able to get one of the four Shatrath pets.

Orphan Matron Aria in Dalaran lets you sponsor either an Oracle named Roo or a Wolvar named Kekek. When you complete the quest chain you get your Northrend pet.

Lastly, we have our BFA orphans. Alliance will talk to Orphan Matron Westerson at Hookpoint in Boralus to get Liam, your Kul Tiran Orphan. Similarly the horde will be picking up their Zandalari Troll Orphan, Azala. When you complete the quest chains for BFA you’ll get to choose from one of the four BFA Pets.

Any pet counts toward the achievement. - [Bad Example](https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1788/bad-example#) - Eat the following food while your orphan is out: - Tigule and Foror’s Strawberry Ice Cream - Which can be bought in your capital city. Emmithue Smails in Stormwind by the Trade District Bank. Alowicious Czervik next to the Valley of Strength Bank in Orgimar. - Red Velvet Cupcake - Lovely Cake Slice - Dalaran Doughnut - Dalaran Brownie - Are all sold by Aimee in Northrend Dalaran. She is in front of a food cart between the barber Shop and the bank /way 50.5 29.1 Aimee - Tasty Cupcake - Crafted by Recipe: Tasty Cupcake (2 Simple Flour and a Northrend Egg). If you don’t have this recipe you can purchase them on the Auction House. The recipe drops in zones and dungeons in Northrend. - Delicious Chocolate Cake - Crafted by Recipe: Delicious Chocolate Cake. This recipe is contained in Crate of Meat, Barrel of Fish, or Small Spice Bag, which are rewards from Dalaran Cooking Dalies. This recipe requires 8 simple Flour, 4 Ice Cold Milk, 4 Mild Spices, 8 Small Eggs, Flask of Stormwind Tawny, and 3 Mageroyal. This is also not account bound so you can buy them on the Auction House as well if you don’t want to farm all of those mats. - [Daily Chores](https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1789/daily-chores#) - Complete five daily quests while your orphan is out. - [Hail To The King, Baby](https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1790/hail-to-the-king-baby#) - Kill the last boss of Utgarde Pinnacle with your orphan out. - [Home Alone](https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1791/home-alone#) - Use your hearthstone while your orphan is out stranding them all alone. - [School of Hard Knocks](https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1786/school-of-hard-knocks#) - This achievement is a pain for non-pvpers because you need to: - Capture the flag in Eye of the Storm - You will have to capture the flag in the middle of Eye of the Storm and run it back to a tower that your faction controls. This one requires a lot of skill or luck - Assault a tower in Alterac Valley - You’ll have to be the first one to complete the task of capturing a flag at the top of a tower. Pick a tower and make that one your goal. - Assault a flag in Arathi Basin - The flags that are at each resource you need to capture it so your faction gains control of that resource - Return a fallen flag in Warsong Gulch - To meet this requirement you have to cause a member of the opposing faction to drop their flag then click on it so it returns to your base. - [For the Children](https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1793/for-the-children) - This achievement awards the player title ‘Matron’ or ‘Patron’ (depending on character gender) this will get you one step closer to What a Long Strage Trip it’s Been. - [Veteran Nanny](https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=275/veteran-nanny) - You’ll need to do this event three years in a row and get 3 of the four possible pets from your faction’s capital city orphan. Buying them on the Auction House will not work.

### Torghast: Chorus of Dead Souls 2021/05/04 - 2021/05/11 In your first anima selection you can choose ‘Howling Soulcore’ to take the form of dead souls and from there some of your anima choices will be based on that decision. If you run with other players they can choose to combine with you. ### Battleground Bonus Event 2021/05/04 - 2021/05/11 Participating in this event will buff you with the Sign of the Battle, which will increase Honor earned by 50% when you complete random Battlegrounds.
