John Bunyan's timeless classic, Pilgrims's Progress, has delighted and challenged its readers since 1678. However, almost two hundred years later, in 1843, American author Nathaniel Hawthorne published a short story, a modernized sequel to Christian's journey, that for whatever reason, has remained largely unknown and underrated.
