If you’re thinking about buying in the spring, the buying process might take longer than you think. The process accounts not only touring homes, but finding the right property, going under contract, applying for a mortgage, and closing successfully.
Ideally, you should account for 120 days to buy a home. The first 30 to 45 days should be spent shopping around for the right house. Next, you need to allocate 45 to 60 days for the mortgage process.
