Wallbox (NYSE: WBX), a global leader in EV charging solutions, has launched the Supernova 220, a new DC fast charger capable of charging up to 220 kW, allowing for a full charge of up to 100 miles in just eight minutes.

The Supernova 220 provides charge point operators (CPOs) with more power options, enhancing their EV charging networks with reliable and efficient solutions. This model, maintaining the compact design of previous Supernova chargers, can charge one EV at 220 kW or two EVs at 110 kW each. It offers cost-effective installation and maintenance, improving ROI for CPOs, especially in high-traffic areas.

Till Wilmschen, Director of DC fast charging at Wallbox stated: “Supernova 220 fills the current need for High Power Charging sites, capable of providing 10 to 15 minute charging times for passenger EVs, as well as serving the high power charging demands at private and public sites.”

Wallbox creates advanced electric vehicle charging and energy management systems that redefine the relationship between users and the network.
