There was thud on the doormat of Groovement HQ the other day with a mixtape from fruit baron Johnty DelMonte.
JDM says he’s been holed up in a DelMonte cargo freight in Runcorn for a year now with only his turntables and pineapple chunks to sustain him.
Things took a dramatic turn in Dry January when he started fermenting the pineapple and hosting raves to an empty dock. Fortunately he pressed RECORD on his SANYO and sent it over. Expect fruit laced funk, party hip hop, Latin and dancehall, all mixed up like your favourite fruit based cocktail.
