Did you know that children who have been abused are three times more likely to abuse alcohol and drugs, and two times more likely to drop out of school? In this episode, Grow Your Nonprofit President & CEO Tamika Seaton sat down with Matt Parkinson, Dir. Of Operations and JJ Wheeler, Dir. of Prevention of Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of Southwest Florida. They discussed CAC's programs and services, how to identify abuse, community partnerships and how the public can get involved.
The CAC's mission is to provide a coordinated response to child victims of abuse and neglect; and improve the lives of at-risk children and their families through prevention services.
