This is part “duce” of the hotline message from yesterday. For those of you that were able to listen in yesterday… you can see how funny that is.

-“Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons, every day of the week. This is message #54 and I am Aaron Havens.

Yesterday we talked about Optical Rectitis.

This is an evasive weed that will take over our gardens and yards and fields and minds. Optical Rectitis is seeing the negative in the world. Optical Rectitis is negative thinking. Optical Rectitis is bleak and void of much hope.

What situation are you in right now that seems like you might have Optical Rectitis? In the face of adversity it is easy to feel overwhelmed. Its easy to just simply focus on the obstacles… put our heads down and power through.

What do you do when you find yourself in a less than optimal situation or position? What problem do you face right now that might need a fresh perspective or to be looked at from another angle?

Insert the red tape of Sky Service Pros… a company I get the honor of co-leading.

My business partner and I created a document this week called our “Problem Solving SOP (Standard Operating Procedures). Maybe this can help when we begin to see only problems.

  1. Identify the Actual Problem
  2. State what the final result needs to be
  3. Propose possible solutions to achieve the final result
  4. What action is being taken to resolve the problem
  5. Sign and date it.

If the world seems negative and your obstacles or problems seem too large… maybe the Problem Solving SOP can help you come to a brighter result!

Big take away:

  1. Determine to embrace the challenges you might come across with courage. Don’t shrink back into defeat.
  2. Notice today when you thinking is slipping into Optical Rectitis.
  3. Set up or follow our SOP to help achieve healthier results!

Thanks for calling in today. Tune in tomorrow for a fresh new topic.

At the sounds of the beep I want to hear from you. Where is an area you have slipped into Optical Rectitus? Let me know. After the beep say

It’s time to set up my problem solving SOP.
