I looked upon the body as a laboratory - I used to throw in this chemical and then that one to see what would happen; I was intrigued by that, but the experiment had to end.'

Keith today could be any kind and wise old grandad, albeit with a wicked sense of humour.
Go back 60 years though and this was a very different fish.
A barely alive, hollow eyed, gap toothed hellhound - headed for who knows where.
