美國哲學家 Saul Kripke 剛於 2022 年 9 月離世，英美分析哲學界一般公認 Kripke 為近半個世紀其中一個最重要的哲學家。
Kripke 是個天才型哲學家，17 歲發表的第一篇論文已經一新模態邏輯學的研究領域，他後來在語言哲學、形上學、知識論、心靈哲學等範圍都有很大貢獻，尤其是語言哲學，整個討論可以說因為 Kripke 而有着翻天覆地的改變。
今集《哲學係咁傾》，將會和大家介紹 Kripke 在哲學中最着名、影響力最大的貢獻：在語言哲學中，他怎樣把盛行一時的「描述主義」拉下神壇，再建立他自己的指稱理論。
