"I feel like it's so important, for tap dancers especially, to continue giving each other the room and the encouragement to do new things and be weird."
- Mark Yonally, 4/5/19

Mark Yonally is filled with tap stories. He sat down with us in Matt the Shoe Guy's office at Dancing Fair and we talked about Chicago Tap Theatre, Flying Turtles, taking class with Fayard Nicholas, and gave a shout out to MinnesoTap.

We discuss the important role women played in the tap renaissance including stories about working with Brenda Bufalino, Dianne "Lady Di" Walker, Barbara Duffy, Acia Gray, and Heather Cornell.

"The difference between a professional and an amateur is an amateur practices until they get it right. A professional practices until they can't get it wrong."
