What is this episode all about?

John Porterfield from Social 180 discusses livestreaming basics for churches. What to look for, how to work with a consultant, what platforms are best for online congregational engagement and more.

About John Porterfield

Over the past 25 years, John has worked in various capacities from sales, IT, onto corporate strategic relations. He served 6 years with Harvest Christian Fellowship as a webcast producer and tech engineer supporting their national and global events. John now freelances as a live and event webcast producer supporting houses of worship, non-profits, and companies for their streaming production needs. John also works to help evangelize new technologies and innovation as part of the online streaming community.

My effort with churches is on:

· help or advisory on production solutions for webcasting, this includes software / hardware.

· Production support as a hired webcast producer for live, events, other.

· Full outsource - this is where someone will want to have a production team manage all aspects of an activity, or me where i am managing with another group. I can provide examples here: VBS , Harvest Greg Laurie, Kindred Church, others)
