This Week: In this episode, Show Host Melinda Marsalis talks with Robby Parman, Executive Director of the Regional Rehabilitation Center. Providing Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Dyslexia Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Early Intervention services for children birth to age three, the Regional Rehab Center is located in Tupelo but serves the entire North Mississippi area.

To date, the Center has provided therapeutic services to patients in 26 Mississippi counties. A 501c3, this non-profit organization has worked with over 55,000 people in its 68-year history - and has never charged one penny for its services nor billed insurance. The services are provided because of generous donations and community-driven fundraisers. One of those annual fundraisers is coming up in September. The "Dan and Kay Matthews 'Road to Hope' Golf Tournament" will be held September 11 at both the Old Waverly Golf Course and the Mossy Oak Golf Course. Both courses are located in the West Point, MS area.

Wells-Barnett and James Meredith, America’s favorite playwright Tennessee Williams, and Nobel-Laureate William Faulkner. The stories of the Mississippi Hills are many and powerful, from music and literature, to Native American and African American heritage, to the Civil War. The Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area supports the local institutions that preserve and share North Mississippi’s rich history.
