This episode is a 20-minute sermon on the first 12 verses of the book of Job. Even though the book of Job is perhaps the oldest book in the Bible, it deals with an issue that is relevant to every age and every culture. That issue is the reality of human suffering. This is an issue that we all must face and it's an issue that confounds the best of human wisdom. However, the Word of God in general (and the book of Job in particular) presents us with some helpful insights into this issue. In this short sermon, I try to highlight a few things from Job 1 that help us understanding suffering from a biblical perspective.
