Today (08/22) we talked with Allison Pareis, director of mark ting at Heartland Sings and a passionate about the equestrian 🐎 arts.
"Allison Pareis is the Director of Marketing at Heartland Sings. She enjoys telling the stories of life through a variety of media including painting, sculpting, photography, music, and video. She first worked with Heartland Sings in the early days of the organization (when it was called Heartland Chamber Chorale) and helped to organize its first music library.
Pareis combined all of her artistic skills to earn a Bachelors degree in video production from Ball State University. After graduation, she honed her skills while working at WFWA PBS39 in Fort Wayne helping to produce live call-in shows, documentaries, underwriting spots, and more. She later returned to school to earn her Masters Degree in Digital Storytelling. Her thesis, a half-hour documentary for PBS entitled, "Sculpting the Wind: Alexa King & the Making of the Barbaro Memorial Statue," garnered multiple awards nationally and statewide including being nominated for four regional Emmy Awards (winning two), A Videographer Award, a Telly Award, and was first runner up in the National Thoroughbred Racing Association's Eclipse Awards. Additionally she has won numerous other national awards for her work in video and still photography.
In her free time, Allison enjoys listening to music, creating multi-media art, riding horses, the outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two dogs." ( Pareis, A. 2023)
