Welcome to this weeks episode of Heavy Metal History. My guests this week on the podcast were guitarist Nick Padovani and bassist Hugo Doyon-Karout (also of Montreal based Tech-Death band Beyond Creation) Nick’s band Equipoise is almost like a “super group” of top tier musicians in the Tech Death scene. Comprised of members Stevie Boiser (Inferi), Jimmy Pitts (Eternity’s End), Chason Westmoreland (Burning the Masses, The Faceless) Phil Tougas (First Fragment, Chthe'ilist) and Sanjay Kumar (Wormhole) with all these amazing musicians coming together to create the band’s first full length, “Demiurgus” out on The Artisan Era now! While talking to Nick and Hugo we delve into their early influences as musiciains and then discuss all the intricacies and planning that went into writing and recording this album due to the musicians involved living all over the place. We also discuss that “Demiurgus” is a concept album based of the anime “Full Metal Alchemist” go check out “Demiurgus” below and please buy their record!
