Les Brown and his Band of Renown, like many bands during WW II did a lot to entertain our soldiers at home and overseas. Many of their radio performances were done via shortwave through the Armed Forces Radio Service. The Introductory audio on this track reveals the songs in order of play and the vocalists who were part of the band... Doris Day for one....This is a 15 minute rebroadcast of an AFRS program entitled "The Victory Parade of Spotlight Bands" ... and the featured band in this show is Les Brown and his Orchestra. Good track. It will be stored in the "Jazz/Big Band" Playlist on this Soundcloud originated podcast.
