Are you scratching your head right now? In the previous episode of HER Style Podcast, I challenged you to be bold and gave you 8 ways to make your outfits more creative, and now, I’m telling you to tone it down. So what gives, right?

Well, I’ve been hearing from a number of listeners lately, including our friend Rachel who submitted today’s Q&A Thursday question, that while they love elevated looks and they want to show up looking polished and put together, they have a big fear bubbling up under the surface. They’re afraid of being judged for flaunting their taste in fashion and/or making their friends feel less than.

We’ve entered a new era of casual basics, laid-back looks, and work-from-home wardrobes, and we don’t always have a need to dress up like we used to. In a world where so many are showing up with such little effort, do we need to consider whether our closets are legitimately too showy?

It’s time to address this elephant and talk about what to do when you’re the most style-conscious person in the room.
