Welcome, brave adventurers, to Heroes Rise. This is the 240th entry into our chronicle, recorded on Saturday May 20th, and released Wednesday May 24th 2023 over at heroesrisepodcast.com.

In this week’s Adventurer’s Pack, we finally let Lennon eat his dice.

Next we check out some D&D News as we take a look at the latest boardgame coming from WizKids, the D&D Streaming Channel, the results of the Paladin and Druid Playtest survey, and some Misplaced Monsters.

After that we’ll take a Short Rest and hear some Wisdom of the Masters on how not to say something; before finally heading into the Scrying Pool to see what you [all] have to say.
Community Questions

  • What do you think of The Trials of Tempus? Does it sound like a good onramp to D&D? Would you maybe use it as a palette cleanser between campaigns, or when you don’t have enough people to run a full session?
  • What would you put on the D&D streaming channel? Remember, WotC listens to all feedback and has promised to act on it, so bring your best ideas!
  • The KDM wants to know: What’s your story of trying to give players a subtle hint and them being too abysmally dense to get it through their heads what you meant? Did you set them straight, or just let them run with the idiocy?
Dice Envy
One does not simply use dice as a mere game tool. You need dice that will thrill - that will get you

Our adventure has now ended, and we've hung up our robe and wizard hats to enjoy our retirement on the Sword Coast, running a tavern where a fresh band of adventurers may meet and start quests of their own. We're still around on Discord, and you should come and join the Heroes Rise community at http://discord.heroesrisepodcast.com
A special thanks to Vindsvept for making the awesome music you hear throughout the show, be sure to check him out at
vindsvept.bandcamp.com; and a special thanks to the designer of our banners and avatars, Lo of Lo’s Lair — you can find him on X @Los_Lair and on Facebook at facebook.com/LosLair
