We've all heard cinephiles talk about the "Golden Era" of Hollywood, which gave us several timeless classics as Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, Citizen Kane and more. But not a lot of people know WHY that era was so great, and why those stories stuck with us. Joining High Trust / Low Context this week is none other than Dr. E. Michael Jones, founder and editor of Culture Wars Magazine, and author of several epic books such as Barren Metal, Degenerate Moderns, Logos Rising, and Libido Dominandi, to name a few. Over the years, Dr. Jones has spoken many times about the death of the Hollywood Production Code era, better known as the Hays Code. El Chaco and Dr. Jones will discuss what the Hays Code meant to cinema, how it was lost, and why some people may want it to return again.
