The 1990s was a wild time for television in Japan. It was an era that brought us shows like Takeshi's Castle, and exposed the western world to the wacky side of Japanese culture.
It also exposed the darker side of Japanese reality television, when one show sadistically tortured a man who simply wanted to become famous.
Join us this week as we discuss the horrifying story of Nasubi, a man whose 15 month imprisonment was livestreamed 24 hours a day, much to the enjoyment of over 17 million viewers.
