After a months-long process involving an outside consulting firm and a nationwide search, the Hillsboro School Board has announced its three finalists for the Superintendent position: Jon Franco of Portland Public Schools; Rita Raichoudhuri, most recently of Kalamazoo Public Schools in Michigan; and Travis Reiman of the Hillsboro School District.

Third quarter ends on Thursday, April 13th and there will be no school for all students on Friday, April 14th. School resumes and fourth quarter begins on Monday, April 17th.

Our bond update is on Liberty High School’s solar array project. With all panels installed, and final wiring and equipment installation in process in the shed, the 64 kilowatt-hour solar array is nearly completed. All that remains is delivery and installation of the roll-up door for the shed in May. Students will soon begin working with the array to learn about solar technology.
