The Word Became Flesh John 1:1-18 Many of us have only a “snapshot” or two of the Jesus we profess to believe in and follow. Some only really know about the “Baby Jesus” of Christmas. Others only really know the “Crucified Jesus” of the Cross and Resurrection. Most of us have the Birth, Crucifixion and Resurrection aspects of Jesus down pretty well. Although His Birth, Death and Resurrection are all extremely important, there are other aspects of the One Whose Birth we celebrate this Christmas that are important as well, if we are really going to know Him in His fullness. If we are really going to come to know the Word Who became flesh and dwelt among us, we need to know that Him also as Jesus, the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world. We need to know that Him as Jesus, the Infinite God-Man. We need to know Him as Jesus, the Soon-Coming King. And we need to know Him as Jesus, the One Who stands at the door of our hearts and knocks, desiring to share Himself with us and for us to share ourselves with Him.
