Description: Today we have more from our summer of scholarship series. This episode features Gil and Omri of the Podcast of Biblical Proportions. In their podcast, Gil and Omri explore the Bible through the lens of the story-telling of the original story tellers. They try to peel back the onion to try to find out the history and the imagination of the people who wrote the Bible and lived during those early times. We had a wide ranging conversation about 2nd Temple Judaism and how the Christians and Jews imagined the Bible after the destruction of the 2nd Temple. We also talk about how and why people form canons and why groups could diverge. It was a fascinating conversation. I hope you enjoy because I know I enjoyed talking to Gil and Omri!
