“Kamala Harris: Weak. Failed. Dangerously liberal.”

That’s the tag line on the first campaign ad put up by former President Trump this week. It ought to run a thousand times between now and November because it provides a great and memorable summary of the Vice President’s tenure in office.

The likely nominee is coasting now—riding high on the media’s charm offensive. Her poll numbers are relatively strong, compared to Joe Biden’s. It’ll likely last through the end of August as the Democratic convention gives Harris continued energy.

But: Once the nomination is locked up, then the real campaign begins. At that point: She’ll be forced to confront her own record of failure and weakness—and we’ll begin to see the steady drift down in the collective mind of the electorate.

The country knows her nervous laughter well—a giggle that attempts to mask her awareness of her own vacuity.

Harris is still going to have to talk about complex subjects, at some length, at some point. That’s going to be her undoing.
