Welcome to Homework with Kim, Episode 9 -Train up a child: DISCIPLINE

Thank you so much for joining me for this episode!
On this episode we discuss the great responsibility we have been given as parents.

Parenting is one of life's greatest joys. But it’s not easy! Takes a lot of work.

God is very explicit about the duty He lays in the hands of parents throughout Scripture.

As parents, we have a responsibility to educate our children what is important to God. When left to their own devices, the "youth" lack discernment and have hearts full of folly. Children bring shame on their parents if they are not disciplined.

They are born helpless, weak, and they require constant time, attention, and training! Parents are to train their kids. Parents must train their children. Discipline is to be used by parents to train their children.

Proverbs regularly exhorts parents to discipline their children and to instruct them in wisdom. “Discipline your son, for there is hope; do not set your heart on putting him to death” (Proverbs 19:18).

This emphasizes the importance of correcting our children. It contains the concept of punishment. Discipline is never pleasant in the moment, but it produces excellent and peaceful fruit in the lives of our children.
Let us to do the HomeWork necessary to Train up a child: DISCIPLINE.
