Kayla Aces the Diversity Test: She Found A POC Immigrant of Catholic-Upbringing Culture! For our first-ever entirely bonus episode, we put ourselves to modern day's litmus test: identifying how many intersectional checkboxes we can scratch off, in our own lives and in the lives of those poor Barbies. With today's guest, Mariel, she is essentially a token person: she speaks of moving to America from the Phillippines, we compared the Barbie movie to life in America and life as immigrants trying to live the American Dream, and we took a sharp right turn into an article circling social media: "The Autism Surge: Lies, Conspiracies, and My Own Kids".
