This week the Hoof to Hat podcast went on the road to catch up with PAFRA member, roper, mounted shooter and full on interesting person, Shawn Day.
Shawn tells his side of everything including how a guy from Oklahoma doesn't start in rodeo until he is deployed in Germany. He explains how good he was at bull riding which is why he moved onto roping. Shawn tells about life in the military and the disfunctional support group he surrounds himself with thru Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association and how they all met. Of course, we talk about the sport of mounted shooting and how his wife rides better than he can.
For Storytime...well, let's just say it involves a fist fight followed by a hospital stay that leads to a roping event with a truck as the grand prize...all in one week...in the life of Shawn Day.
