Jake and Rich preview the West Coast Conference (WCC) and the Mountain West Conference (MWC), and make some surprising predictions. They are joined by Boise State forward Tyson Degenhart and Nevada forward Tre’ Coleman.
Last season, Degenhart, the 2022 MWC Rookie of the Year and a 2023 first-team All-MWC selection, averaged 14.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 54% from the floor, 33% from deep, and 68% from the free-throw line. He also ranked in the top 5 of the MWC for EFG%, offensive rating, win shares, and plus-minus.
Coleman, an ironman, a glue guy, and a 2023 MWC All-Defense selection, has never missed a game at Nevada, playing in a total of 90 contests while averaging more than 28 minutes per game. Last season, he averaged 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 45% from the floor, 36% from deep, and 68% from the charity stripe. He finished 5th in the MWC for block percentage, led the Wolfpack with A/T ratio of 3.2, and finished 2nd on the team for plus-minus.
