Message Summary: The birth of Jesus Christ provided the world with three gifts: He gave us a sign, a Son, and a Savior. That exceptional nativity would lead to His perfect life, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and His eventual return to rule the world. God sounded forth the ultimate “prediction of His birth” through the prophet Isaiah who predicted the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. Let’s see why that matters.

A Birth Foretold

Isaiah 7:10-16

  1. The SETTING – The political situation under Ahaz King of Judah.
    • Isaiah 7:1-9
    • 2 Kings 16:5-9
  2. The SIGN – Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son. V.10-14
    • Luke 1:26-38
  3. The SAVIOR – And shall call His name Emmanuel. V.14
    • Matthew 1:18-25

“She will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet” – Matthew 1:21,22
