It would have been difficult for the church in Jerusalem to do what the church in Antioch was about to do simply because they did not have the diversity of thought to embrace such a dramatic move. ‌ Matthew 28:19 “19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” ‌ Acts 1:8 “8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”” ‌ The great commission from Jesus included going to all nations and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit was for Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth. ‌ Exposing yourself to other cultures opens up greater possibilities for your calling. ‌ The church does not distribute calling it recognizes it.
