Every last Wednesday of the month, the HPCritical podcast crew gets to hold a play session. With the news that Pokémon Sword & Shield will be discontinuing updates in the wild area and putting an end to the competitive scene after the current season ends, we’ve decided to take a look back at one of the most popular Pokémon games of all time.

Setting the precedent for what is to come, Sword & Shield set expectations high for later games, and with Scarlet & Violet on the horizon, we reminisce on shared moments and memories while preparing ourselves for the future of Pokémon. We, of course, still take some time for the latest in gaming news in the meantime. Come have a listen.
