Earlier this month, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority looked into new subway platform barriers to keep straphangers away from the tracks. Safety is a top concern for public transport, so the MTA has been exploring various ways to prevent accidents and fatalities on subway tracks. Three subway stations will be tested for this pilot program.
