Presenter(s): Nicholas Roome, Blake Arnsdorff, Chris Reid, Hongwei Hsaio, Bill Marras Description: 2018 saw the return of ErgoX in a new symposium format dedicated to the user centered design of new disruptive technology…in this case exoskeletons. Lessons learned from attendees of the symposium showed the need for further understanding of how to properly design, assess, utilize, integrate, and sustain these devices in not only the industrial workplace, but also medical rehabilitation, and military Warfighter ones too. 2019’s exoskeleton symposium will build on those lessons learned by again tapping into the knowledge gaps and findings of exoskeleton standards development, developer intrigue, user feedback, and research methods for cognitive and physical symbiosis between humans and their exoskeletons. This HFES webinar will feature interviewers from the Human Factors Podcast, Nicholas Roome and Blake Arnsdorff along with an interview panel of exoskeleton symposium Chair, Chris Reid (The Boeing Company), and Co-Chairs, Hongwei Hsiao (NIOSH), Don Peterson (Northern Illinois University/ASTM F48), and Bill Marras (The Ohio State University).
