“I am the good shepherd” is the fourth of seven “I am” declarations of Jesus recorded in John’s Gospel. These “I am” proclamations point to His unique divine identity and purpose. “I am the good shepherd.” It is worth noting that he describes Himself as not only “the shepherd” but the “good shepherd.” In this sermon Ross explores what this means and what it says about God and us.
