Trish Glose interviews Julie Grauert, a retired news anchor turned advocate for curing spinal cord injury. Julie talks about growing up in Lake Oswego, Oregon before heading east to school. She worked at a television station in Portland and while she loved the job, she says her real dream was getting to New York City by the age of 30. Julie talks about her on air jobs in the big city, meeting the love of her life there, moving to Boston and why she decided to get out of news and start on a path that she now calls her passion. Oh, they talk about dogs, too.
