Mitchell Fitchten, and a returning guest of the podcast, Jeremy Evans of MAULED: Lessons Learned from a Grizzly Bear Attack! Mitchell is here with the first time tell-all describing an 8 month adventure that turned deadly, in the harsh winter Yukon elements.
Mitchell and his friend, Evan Russell, planned on spending up to 6 months in the backcountry, and when they missed their check in, their families reported them missing. We became aware of this story when Mitchell's father stopped by Corlane’s, on his way up to Whitehorse, to pick up his malnourished but stable son, from the hospital. He brought Mitchell by the store, on their way back to Alberta, to tell us his story, including the death of his best friend Evan.
