The Husker247 Postgame Podcast convened to discuss the latest close but not good enough loss for the Huskers after the 28-20 defeat at the hands of USC.

Mike Schaefer and Michael Bruntz discussed the Huskers latest performance and started with some coaching decisions including timeout usage like the one during the fourth quarter to punt and then the lack of tacking one during the final drive which likely cost the team more opportunities at the end zone late.

The two ran through Nebraska’s offense and what looked different under Dana Holgorsen and where things can still stand to improve as the Huskers finished with just 30 points and barely crept past 300 yards of total offense.

Finally what has happened with Nebraska’s defense and is it time to get some younger players in on the back end as the Huskers veterans struggled in the loss.
